London, UK-based Classic Media has inked multiple broadcasting deals throughout the Middle East and Africa for more than 225 hours of kids programming including series Tinga Tinga Tales, Life with Boys, Guess with Jess and Postman Pat.

Integral (Middle East) has acquired VOD rights for Guess with Jess and has also picked up Postman Pat (series three to eight) and faith-based series 3-2-1 Penguins.

The deals follow on the heels of recent sales by Classic Media to European broadcasters for Tinga Tinga Tales, Guess with Jess, and Postman Pat.

Channels in Africa, Israel, Turkey and Kazakhstan have acquired more than 225 hours of content from New York-based kids’ firm Classic Media.

African-themed preschool series Tinga Tinga Tales will be shown on Channel SABC (South Africa), Multimesh (Ghana) and Citizen TV (Kenya). The toon is produced in the latter by Tiger Aspect and Nairobi-based indie Homeboyz.

Meanwhile, Nickelodeon Africa has secured the tween-skewing Life With Boys (26x30′), having previously shown the toon on its channels in Europe, US and Canada. Noga in Israel has also signed up for the show, which follows the tribulations of a girl who lives with her single dad and three brothers.

Preschool Postman Pat spin-off series Guess with Jess will go to Turkey’s ATV-owned children’s channel Minika and Kazakhstan TV’s kids-skewing Balapan.

The deals come as Classic Media continues to expand its library of toons. This week Classic secured the rights to preschool brand Olivia from Chorion, having also purchased Noddy from it earlier this month.
