Nickelodeon Preschool Promotes Kay Wilson Stallings And Sarah Landy

Kay Wilson Stallings Named Senior Vice President of Development and Sarah Landy Named Vice President, Production and Development for Nickelodeon Preschool

NEW YORK – July 18, 2013 –Kay Wilson Stallings has been named Senior Vice President of Production and Development, Nickelodeon Preschool, and Sarah Landy has been named Vice President of Production and Development, Nickelodeon Preschool. The announcement was made today by Teri Weiss, Executive Vice President, Preschool Original Programming, Nickelodeon Group, to whom they both report.

"Kay is a tremendous asset to the Nickelodeon Preschool team, developing various hit series including the Fresh Beat Band, The Backyardigans and Wonder Pets!" said Teri Weiss, Executive Vice President, Preschool Original Programming, Nickelodeon Group. "In her new role, Kay will continue to develop funny and innovative content for kids and cultivate creative talent to elevate the Nickelodeon Preschool series slate."

As Nickelodeon Preschool's Senior Vice President of Production and Development, Stallings will oversee the development of all original preschool series production, pre-buys, acquisitions and shorts program.

Stallings responsibilities include recruiting animation, design, writing and music talent globally and internally, as well as cultivate relationships with educators to work on development and stay current with curriculum trends.

Formerly Vice President of Development and Production, Stallings was instrumental in the creation of series such as Backyardigans, Yo Gabba Gabba!, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, Lazytown, Winx Club and Nickelodeon's newest preschool series Peter Rabbit. Her supervision of short form content and development led to such series as the Wonder Pets!, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, The Fresh Beat Band and the upcoming preschool series Wallykazam! and Blaze and the Monster Machines. Under her creative leadership, short-form projects have garnered numerous prestigious awards, including the Emmy nominated History and Heritage spots. Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Stallings was a producer on The Jerry Springer Show and worked on the production team of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Kay Wilson Stallings holds a degree in Higher Education Administration from University of Illinois, Champaign.

Landy is responsible for overseeing the production of Bubble Guppies, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Fresh Beat Band and Zack and Quack. Additionally, Landy will lead the development and production of Nickelodeon Preschool shorts on Nickelodeon Preschool and Nick Jr. in partnership with the Nick Preschool internal development team.

Most recently Landy was the Executive in Charge of The Fresh Beat Band, Wonder Pets! and Toot and Puddle. She also served as the production and development manager for productions such as LazyTown, Jack's Big Music Show, Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, Blue's Clues and the Curious Buddies titles. Landy began her career at Nickelodeon in 1997 working on Blue's Clues Production. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Skidmore College.
